One of Black Swan’s key Trace abilities increases her outgoing damage according to her Effect Hit Rate. This scaling also makes Effect Hit Rate one of the most valuable stats when building her.

Her Basic ATK deals Wind damage and has a chance to inflict Arcana. When attacking an enemy already affected by DoT, it can also create additional opportunities to apply more stacks. Her Skill deals Wind damage to one target and nearby enemies, with a chance to apply Arcana to all affected targets while simultaneously reducing their DEF. When combined with her Trace effects, this allows Arcana to accumulate much more quickly.

Black Swan’s Technique can also give her a strong opening advantage. At the start of battle, each enemy has a chance to receive Arcana. If the application succeeds, another attempt can occur immediately, allowing multiple stacks to be created before normal combat begins. However, the chance of successfully applying another stack becomes lower with each repeated attempt.

Her Ultimate deals Wind damage to every enemy and applies the Epiphany state. While affected by Epiphany, enemies take increased damage during their own turns. Targets carrying Arcana are also treated as though they are simultaneously affected by Wind Shear, Bleed, Burn, and Shock. During this special state, Arcana stacks are not reset after dealing damage, although this protection from resetting can only activate once.

For team building, one of the strongest combinations is Black Swan, Kafka, Ruan Mei, and Huohuo. If Kafka is unavailable, an E1 Sampo can serve as an alternative, while players following team suggestions through 12BET can replace Ruan Mei with Asta or another character capable of supporting frequent DoT triggers. E1 Guinaifen is another practical option. A premium setup therefore consists of Black Swan, Kafka, Ruan Mei, and Huohuo, while a lower-cost formation can use Black Swan with Sampo and Ruan Mei or Guinaifen.

For Light Cones, Black Swan’s signature option provides excellent synergy by offering 40% Effect Hit Rate, 20% ATK, and up to 28.8% DEF reduction through its special effect. For players using 12BET who care most about overall team performance, Black Swan’s first Eidolon can offer greater value than obtaining her signature Light Cone because it provides a 25% resistance reduction effect that benefits the entire party. For that reason, securing E1 before investing in her exclusive weapon can be the more efficient choice. Overall, the current team structure is somewhat dependent on available characters, but Black Swan performs at her best when paired with Kafka.
